Global competition: "And if you think going overseas means settling for less-qualified workers, think again. Many foreign workers are college graduates and are educated as well or better than their American counterparts. The seven Indian Institutes of Technology, for example, (take a look at IIT Delhi), are world-famous and their graduates are in demand everywhere. And though American employers usually want English-speaking workers, they find plenty of them overseas too. Lots of call center work, for example, goes to the Philippines where English is widely spoken."
