installing debian linux form .iso file:


.iso files are image files, you must extract them onto a cd, and then boot the computer from that cd (making sure that the cd is set as the first boot device in the BIOS).

You might want to look at this thread for instructions on how to extract the image to a cd using a program in windows http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/topic-20850.html.

If you are in linux use a burner like K3B to extract the .iso file to a cd using 'burn image' option.
