1. Add multiverse to your list of respitories
2. apt-get install msttcorefonts
3. Add DisplaySize 338 211 #1280x800 under your monitor section (google for other resolutions using DisplaySize 96dpi and your resolution)
4. sudo dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig and enable subpixel rendering
5. Enable subpixel rendering in the gnome-font-config
